FAQ

About Our Practice

What languages does the team at 360 Ortho & Spine speak?

The team is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Stefan Prada conducts consultations in both languages, which is particularly valuable for patients traveling from Spanish-speaking countries and communities. No interpreter is needed for Spanish-speaking patients, and all communication throughout your care will be direct and clear in the language you are most comfortable with.

Will Dr. Prada personally be my surgeon?

Yes! 360 Ortho & Spine is a small, concierge-style practice, and Dr. Prada is the sole surgeon. If you are a candidate for treatment, Dr. Prada will perform your procedure personally. You will never be transferred to a different provider at any stage of your care. This continuity is one of the reasons many patients choose this practice over larger, multi-provider surgical groups.

Payment and Insurance

Do you take workers' compensation?

360 Ortho & Spine is not a participating provider for workers' compensation plans. If you were injured on the job and are seeking care through a workers' comp claim, your carrier will need to direct you to a provider within its network. If you have questions about whether our self-pay model is an option for your situation, we are happy to speak with you directly.

Do you accept personal injury patients?

Yes! 360 Ortho & Spine works with patients who have open auto accident and premises liability cases on a case-by-case basis. If you were injured in an accident and are working with a personal injury attorney, we encourage you to contact our office. Our team has experience coordinating care for personal injury patients alongside legal counsel, and Dr. Prada treats the spinal conditions most commonly associated with these injuries, including herniated disc, whiplash injury, and facet joint damage.

Do you accept health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?

360 Ortho & Spine does not participate with any health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. The practice is entirely self-pay. This is a deliberate choice that allows Dr. Prada to spend real, uninterrupted time with each patient without the constraints that insurance billing introduces. Every patient receives the same level of care and the same 30-minute consultation, regardless of coverage status. Our team is available to discuss fees following your consultation.

Consultations and Candidacy

How do I know if I'm a candidate for treatment at 360 Ortho & Spine?

The best starting point is to contact our office and speak with our team. Once you've connected with us, you will be asked to submit your completed new patient packet along with copies of your MRI and X-ray images and reports, and any relevant operative reports, for Dr. Prada to review ahead of your consultation. This review allows Dr. Prada to assess your case before you commit to a visit. Please note that all submitted copies will be retained for review and cannot be returned; they may be destroyed following review.

What does a new patient consultation at 360 Ortho & Spine involve?

Every new patient consultation is a 30-minute, one-on-one appointment with Dr. Prada. During that time, he will review your imaging, discuss your diagnosis, walk you through your treatment options, and answer your questions. The goal is for you to leave the appointment with a complete understanding of your condition and a clear picture of what your care could look like. No rushed appointments, no vague answers, and no pressure to make a decision before you are ready.

Do you offer video consultations for patients who live far away?

Yes! Video consultations are available for patients who are not yet able to travel to Tampa, Florida. To prepare for a virtual visit, you will need to submit your completed new patient packet along with copies of your MRI and X-ray images and reports, and any relevant operative reports, for Dr. Prada to review beforehand. Please note that submitted copies cannot be returned and may be destroyed after review. An in-person physical examination is required before any surgical procedure; this takes place when you travel to Tampa for your surgery.

Preparing for Your Procedure

I've decided to move forward with surgery. Do I need to bring someone with me?

Yes. All surgical patients are required to bring a care partner who is over the age of 18, in sound physical and mental health, and capable of either driving or arranging a taxi or rideshare service. This requirement applies to every patient regardless of the procedure being performed or where they are traveling from. Please plan your trip with this in mind and confirm your care partner's availability before your procedure date is finalized.

How long is the recovery after minimally invasive spine surgery?

Most patients return to normal activity within approximately six weeks following a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure at 360 Ortho & Spine. This is significantly shorter than the six months or longer that traditional open spine surgery typically requires. Because Dr. Prada's techniques preserve surrounding muscle tissue and avoid metal implants, the postoperative experience is considerably less painful, and the return to daily life is much faster. Your specific recovery timeline will be discussed in detail during your consultation.

Traveling for Your Procedure

I'm traveling to Tampa for surgery. What is a good place to stay?

There are a number of affordable, conveniently located hotels within a 15-mile radius of our facility, many situated near Tampa International Airport. When booking your accommodations, we strongly recommend asking whether the room includes a freezer, as you will need access to one for your ice packs throughout your recovery period. Our team is happy to answer any additional logistical questions when you reach out to our office.

I haven't secured a surgery date yet. Should I go ahead and book travel?

Please do not book flights, hotel stays, or any other travel arrangements until Dr. Prada has medically cleared you and our office has confirmed a date for your procedure or consultation. Booking travel before receiving that clearance and a confirmed date can result in costly cancellations and unnecessary complications. Once your date is confirmed, our team will reach out to help ensure your trip is planned smoothly.
